Our 50th anniversary year last year was exceptionally busy. Over the year we had many engagements (see below) and released our latest CD "Vision of Fife" - details on our recordings page. By clicking on the photograph in each item below a new window will open with a slide show of the photographs from the event. Higher resolution photographs are available on request.

We have now resumed our rehersals on Monday evenings at Kirkcaldy High School and are looking forward to another busy year. We would welcome any male voice singer who would like to join us at this time.

For our final performance of our anniversary year we were once again invited by voicemail@aberhill to join them for their end of year summer concert. Once again the boys thrilled their audience with a wide variety of demonstration pieces, numbers from shows and some wartime favourites to give the audience a chance to participate. 18/19 April 2008

Both nights of the choir's 50th Annual Concert were performed in front of capacity audiences at the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy. The programme included something for everyone with favourites such as Smoke gets in your eyes, Bring him home, Three Film Fancy and Autumn Leaves. The first half started with Kedron and concluded with Love could I only tell thee, two favourites of the founding musical director, John Morrison.
The choir were thrilled that our guest, and friend to the choir for many years, Frances McCafferty was able to join with us on this special performance. As always, Frances delighted the audience and the choir with her voice and her personality. Frances McCafferty Frances was joined by the choir for two Gershwin numbers and repaid the favour by joining the choir in the Scottish finale and in our traditional last item, Morte Christe. The finale also included an appearance by our friend and well known local piper, Walter Anderson. We were all bowled over by a surprise additional duet; I remember it well, from Frances and our musical director, Jim Broadley.
The second night concert concluded with several presentations including a donation to Crossroads Fife Central.

18-23 October 2007

Our autumn tour this year was to the Mid West of England, from Shropshire, through Worcestershire, to Herefordshire. Our base for the tour was the Park Inn, Telford where the food and accommodation were only bettered by the attention of the staff. Our first concert was in Ewyas Harold; a small village on the Welsh border where we helped raise funds for facilities for a neighbouring village hall. We renewed an old acquaintance at our second concert when we sang again with our friends from the Much Wenlock Male Voice Choir and followed the concert with refreshments and even more singing.
Our final concert in the tour was with the Worcester Male Voice Choir; another excellent choir and a most enjoyable concert followed again with great hospitality and more singing.

The Choir is always keen to sing for suitable charities and enquiries can be made to our Secretary. (See contact page)

We meet for rehearsals in Kirkcaldy High School, Dunnikier Way, Kirkcaldy (map) on Monday evenings from 7p.m.until 9.p.m. Any male interested in joining the choir will be made most welcome. You do not need to be able to read music - all that is required is a reasonable singing voice and a willingness to work hard at rehearsals. We sing in four-part harmony - 1st and 2nd Tenor, Baritone and Bass so there will be a section to suit any singer. All music sung is in the main, well known and very singable. Singing is a great way of relieving stress in this busy world so why not come along and join us.

The choir is grateful to all that support our endeavours and are particularly grateful to our main financial sponsor, Ceramic Tile Warehouse.

Please visit our concert diary for dates and venues of concerts to be held over the coming months.
